Improving your webpages ranking in search engine return pages (SERP) is the fastest way to increasing traffic to your site. Search engines categorize web pages based on keywords that are relevant to the content of the page, and so precise Keyword Placement is imperative. This is what's known as a White Hat SEO Technique.
Another important method of this type is Link Analysis - most automated search engines will look to see how many other web pages link to the page in question.
